Word Sessions

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”.2 Tim2:15

“When you have read the Bible, you know it is the word of God, because it is the key to your heart, your own happiness, and your own duty.” Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President of the United States, 1858-1919

For the Christian, serious Bible study will serve to provide the foundation for dealing with the serious issues of life. Without it, we will find ourselves doing as those “who did that which was right in their own eyes.’ (Judges 17.6; 18:1)

The intent is to ponder and contemplate the meaning of the text and thus to understand and commit it to heart. The Psalmist wrote

“I have stored your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” (Psalm 119:11)
“In all my perplexities and distresses, the Bible has never failed to give me light and strength.”

Abraham Lincoln16th President of the United States, 1809-1865

Meet: Every Wednesday 8-9pm
